I remember when I first started out studying photography. It was an exiting time, and very nerve-wracking, because I had no idea if I was gonna be good enough. My passion for photographing people and creating stories got me connected with the modeling agencies in Oslo, Norway. Luckily they put their faith in me, and allowed me to work with their models. One of them is the beautiful Lise-Anitra Johnsen, and we did a bunch of shoots together that helped shape my style. Thank you for that. Here’s a previously unreleased photo of her, taken 6 years ago.
SNØ is an industrial design company based in Fredrikstad, one hour from Oslo, Norway. I photographed the talented designers for their rebranding process last year. We used the wonderful locations in the building as well as a studio shoot. Here’s a small selection of what we did:
Make-up & Hair by Theo Solé Wintermark. Styling by Afaf Ali.
Earlier this year stylist Ellen Mirck created an idea of showing women at their most private moments, and stylistically showing how it’s changed throughout the 20th century. We used only one model and she was completely transformed for each shot, as well as the set. The film was shot by Daniele Testi and the editorial was shot by me.
The film is now part of the fifth ASVOFF film festival at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

Since Milan basically shuts down during August I went to Norway to work. Had a few shoots, both as a photographer and as a model. So I stopped by my Norwegian agency Team Models and they took a few polaroids.
A couple of weeks ago I did an editorial for Essen Magazine. They combine the world of fashion with food and drink. They hired me to do an editorial where the idea was that there would be pictures of food in the photos, in black and white, and the clothes would have the colour of that particular food. Take a look at some of the photos underneath (you can see the whole editorial here).

I was working with the fantastic stylist Ellen Mirck again. This time while I was doing the editorial, Daniele Testi was also doing a fashion film to go along with it. In total 7 sets were built and here’s a look at how it all went down.
The post-production is coming to a close and hopefully it will be out very soon.

A couple of weeks ago Vogue.it asked me to do a commercial trend styling shoot for the -Cash+Glam section of their website. It was an 80s inspired style with a lot of colour and pastel backgrounds. The detail and full shots is updated with a new photo every few days. You can check out at Vogue.it
During Men’s Fashion Week Milan 2012, White Milan showcased 7 new promising designers. They had a presentation at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera Milano and I was there to take a few shots of the event. Here’s a few backstage photos of how it all went down:
I’ll be doing an editorial as well featuring there 7 designers as well.
I’m in the current issue of The Ones 2 Watch! Their new issue, #19, is called ‘On Location’ and features work from photographers form exiting locations all over the world. Mine is from the beautiful park in Milano, Italy, called Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli.

Here’s some photos I did last week with designer Renfang Hu and model Courtney B (2morrow models). The different designs were to be shot in different moods. Wednesday I’ll post the mens design shooting.
Make-up/Hair: Virginia Rizzo and assistant Nicole Krunić.
The first outfit will be a part of the Eco Fashion contest and exhibited at the Hub King’s Cross during London Design Festival.
Thursday I was on location doing an editorial shoot for Slurp magazine (out already next month), we worked with owls this time, which was a first for me. Amazing animals! Here’s a look at how it all went down.
About 2-3 weeks ago, I worked with designer Aber Gazzi for her new collection. It was almost ready so we did some photos with model Simone before the event ‘A New Anthology’ – A selection of Italian fashion talents on display at the Province gardens. After the event, Vogue.it wrote an article about it and published a couple of these photos.
Tomorrow I’ll publish the final look-book that I did for her latest collection.

So May/June has been really busy – which is perfect for me. I have 2 editorials coming out next month, working with a few designers and doing as well some test jobs with new talents. Soon I’ll be able to put some of these works up. Looking forward to showing what I’ve been up to!
In the meantime, here’s another interview. Click on the image to read it
Last week I had a shoot with 8 models, which is quite an undertaking, but it really went fantastic. Especially since I also had 2 make-up artists and 2 stylists on my team. So this week is all about doing selection for the story and contact the magazines where we want it printed. But also to make sure that each model gets individual photos for their book. In other words, it’s gonna be a ton of photos!
Here are a few of those ‘behind the scenes’. One of the make-up artists took a lot more photos + videos, so I’ll post that when I get them.
These past few weeks I’ve been working more than ever, which is good. What’s even better is that a lot of it will probably be published in different magazines. The downside is that it’s most likely a few months from now since I’m shooting the new autumn and winter collections of different designers.
And until then, I can’t show you anything. But, I’m gonna get some of the behind the scenes photos and write a little bit about the different projects.
These are from a shoot I did a couple of weeks ago with stylist Ellen Mirck.
Doing a shoot of the new autumn and winter collections in Milanese heat is no picnic, but the result is amazing. Will hopefully be out by September.
My latest fashion story (which I posted earlier today. see here) is now published at thefashionisto.com! I love that blog and read it every day so therefore I’m so happy that they posted my series there. Click on the photo underneath to see the spread
I’ve been working hard this week doing 2 fashion shoots with Elite models and also having an event/exhibition at Kitsch bar, Milano. These days I’m doing post-production on the two stories and thought I’d share a couple of them. Also look out for the event photos later on.
And, why not a couple “behind the scenes” while I’m at it:
When I was in Paris for Fashion Week, I got a couple of hours to photograph Susan Tabak at the fantastic Hôtel de Crillon where she was staying. She is a noted style expert, the author of Chic In Paris: Style Secrets & Best Addresses, and publisher of the popular fashion and lifestyle website susantabak.com

Today was the first day of shooting with Maison AboutforAbout, 17 outfits today and around the same amount tomorrow. It’s very exiting design and can’t wait to get the pictures out! In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek on a couple of the looks from today.
These are som extra pictures that I took on the shoot of my new fashion spread ‘Tarot’. I’ll be publishing these pictures as I get them dome. The first ones are of ‘The Fool’. Model Gustav from Team models.
Yes, so I’m finally done with the fashion-shoot (though not the retouching part). We had our second shoot yesterday and I had my posse there doing their magic. After incredible heat and sunshine all day it had to get clody, windy and did I mention; freezing!
I don’t have a lot of sexy, interesting “behind the scenes” pictures, because I have people for that! (word) But here’s a couple of tests though, and I’ll show the finished series real’ soon.
So, first blogpost – damn pressure! Fuck it. Here’s some lovely pictures from a shoot I did this monday for an article about Are Grongstad – a norwegian handball player. I based the look on early Marlboro ads.

The day before, me and my friend Chimen went out to look for locations. We did a lot of test pictures in preparation of the shoot. Take a look
